Connector manufacturer LEMO selects Deutsche Telekom as global provider for SD-WAN

Successful conclusion after intensive negotiations: LEMO, a recognized market leader in development and production of high quality interconnect solutions, has commissioned Deutsche Telekom Global Business & Security Switzerland (DTGBS) to implement and operate an SD-WAN solution for networking 27 company sites in 17 countries worldwide.

LEMO decided to implement SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Networking) because the existing network architecture no longer met the requirements of the company's digitalization strategy ‒ especially with regard to the increased use of applications from the cloud. In the coming months, DTGBS will seamlessly migrate the existing infrastructure comprising MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) and Internet as well as the previous overlay of VPN (Virtual Private Network) tunnels to a modern SD-WAN architecture based on the EdgeConnect solution from technology partner Aruba. Networking the company's sites via SD-WAN will bring a number of benefits for LEMO, such as easier and more performant use of cloud services, central configuration and management of network components and security policies, and simplified network operations.
